Lemon grass Lemon Grass Cymbopoga citrates
Also known as seva, lemon grass is a half-hardy perennial that grows in clumps. Can grow up to 4ft (120cm) tall but can be kept smaller by growing in containers. Essential for Thai dishes. Protect from frost. HHP £2.90
Lemon verbena Lemon Verbena Aloysia triphylla
A slow growing deciduous perennial. It will eventually reach 8ft (2.5m) high. The leaves which have a very strong lemon scent; are used to flavour oils and vinegars. Also used in fruit puddings, jellies and ice creams. HHP. £2.30

Lovage Lovage levisticum officinale
Lovage has a lovely celery flavour, It can be used in salads, casseroles and soups. Lovage can also be used as a vegetable. It can grows up to 6ft (180cm) tall, but dies back in winter. HP £1.90
English mace Mace, English Achillea ageratum (decolorans)
English Mace forms clumps of narrow, aromatic leaves with white flowers in summer. A good culinary herb; use in soups, stews and potato salads, it is also great in chicken dishes and complements other herbs well. Height 5ins (14cm), 18ins (45cm) when flowering. £1.90
